You might remember N&C’s engagement photos. Well now it’s time to read about their wedding weekend!
For their celebration, Natasha & Chris chose to combine their family heritage (Indian for Natasha, Italian and French for Chris) with American traditions sprinkled across multiple events and several days. The first began with a Hindu blessing ceremony surrounded at the Atrium of Tenafly.
The day started with Natasha and her closest family and friends getting ready on site. The room was a full of excitement, a mix of languages, and vivid colors everywhere as everyone worked together to help each other and Natasha into their wedding attire.
One of my favorite moments was the groom’s Bharat. Instead of following tradition exactly, the couple found a way to make it their own. As a nod to his Italian heritage, Chris arrived in a yellow Fiat before being lifted onto the shoulders of friends and family as everyone celebrated his entrance. It was joyful, energetic, and perfectly reflected the spirit of the day.
With lots of natural light flowing in from the skylight, the ceremony itself was filled with warmth and meaning. There were so many intentional moments of including the guests in the ceremony too. My favorite was when the other married women whispered their thoughts to Natasha. The laughter was some of the most genuine I’ve ever captured! Afterwards, we explored the grounds for portraits among the gardens, taking advantage of the lush fall greenery.
What stood out most throughout the day was the care behind every detail. The entire celebration felt deeply personal. It was a beautiful beginning to a wedding weekend centered around family, culture, and connection.
