Whether planning a City Hall ceremony and brunch afterwards, or having a celebrant or friend officiate your wedding at your favorite park, I am happy to help walk you through the process of eloping in NYC, and would be honored to capture every moment along the way!
Getting married at City Hall is a perfect low key and fun way to elope without all the fuss. In fact, I love the experience so much I recommend that all of my couples get married there in addition to their big wedding!
City Hall involves a license appointment and a simple 1-2 minute ceremony officiated by the City Clerk staff, each of which you'll book three weeks in advance. Together we'll plan all the details, shotlist and any locations you want to visit after. I even have flexible booking plans if you haven't confirmed your date yet.
On the day of, my experience serves as a guide to navigate the courthouse, and I can be your witness if needed. After we can take photos in and around the courthouse and even do a fun exit with confetti or bubbles, or head anywhere in the city for more pictures.
Note: City Hall appointments are only available Monday-Friday, and the courthouse allows a max of four (4) guests plus the couple.
Interested in a wedding that is just a bit more personal and intimate but still low key and fun? A private elopement may be the ticket!
Private elopements can be held anywhere in the city from Central Park to your best friend's living room. They allow you flexibility in terms of venue and date, ceremony length and, of course, guest list. For officiants, I am happy to recommend a number of talented folks who match your energy, but I've also seen couples be married by their (pre-ordained) friends or relatives.
My elopement packages are designed for up to twenty people plus the couple, and include a custom moodboard, location scout as needed and a full gallery of images.

I always say the best photos are captured when you're in a location that holds meaning to you, doing something you love with the person you love (and of course, wearing something that makes you feel fabulous helps too!)
Click through for some ideas from past elopements!
For a documentary-forward approach that is more modern, skip the first look and get ready together! Capturing these moments of excitement before your ceremony - helping each other button your outfits, share a coffee, etc - makes everything feel more intimate and really represents the idea of marriage as a partnership. It also sets a perfectly joyful tone that will carry you throughout - and keep the vibes relaxed and low key!
My couples have loved taking a moment to themselves to relax with their favorite snacks and bevs. From pizza to ice cream or coffee to wine, it's especially fun when you pick a spot you know, love and frequent together!
Whether you live in New York City or are eloping from out of town, the city makes for a perfect third character in your elopement photos! From hailing a cab to frolicking through Central Park or Dumbo, there are so many iconic spots that give major city vibes. I'm a lifelong New Yorker and happy to help you pick some fun spots based on what feels true to your story!
Who says your puppy can't be your ring bearer? I love when couples include their furry friends in their elopements. It adds a whole lot of joy, meaning and extra magic to the day - and your photos!
